This course aims to introduce the study of YouTube marketing to corporate marketers who are familiar with traditional marketing channels and would need to upgrade themselves for the digital world, digital native marketers who are young and tech savvy and work in organizations adopting digital tools and technologies to engage their customers, as well as professionals and small enterprise owners who need to leverage on video marketing to optimize their digital marketing strategy.

This course is designed to stand alone as an introduction to YouTube marketing, to allow learners to see the importance of using video as a medium for social media outreach and the benefits of using YouTube, the world's largest video sharing platform as the choice to host one's videos to increase brand awareness. Learners will also be taught YouTube SEO to adjust video and channel elements to allow their videos to be ranked higher on YouTube's video search results pages and how ot run video ads on YouTube strategically to increase marketing ROI.   

The main aim of this unit is to first develop various non-technical skills, within a context that learners will find relevant and engaging learners by equipping them with the requisite knowledge, skills, and attitudes to make informed decisions in formulating social media strategy plans that emphasizes video content as the medium for outreach, branding and engagement, so as to create a loyal following of video channel subscribers who can be nurtured into leads for future monetization purposes, in accordance with organizational business goals and objectives. These skills will help our learners to succeed in their future working lives or to scale up their businesses.
